Sea kayaks are extraordinary boats — fast, seaworthy, built to go anywhere. The Nomadic Express adds an outrigger platform that lets you stand, fish, sail, or hand the paddle to someone who thought sea kayaking wasn't for them. Add the sail rig and it becomes a sailing trimaran that packs in a single bag.

Amas
Inflatable Outriggers with low drag in flat and rough water
Carbon Deck Plates
Vacuum Bagged Carbon/Kevlar/Epoxy Deck to hold our Oval Akas to the deck. Our plates have been purpose built for the Prijon Kodiak and are adaptable to other hulls using minicell shims or custom composite adaptors.
Akas
Telescoping crossbars, ovalized for vertical stiffness. Adjustable and packable
Mast and platform
Windsurf-style mast foot. Three and 4 Section Mast supported with Dyneema Aka stays, in addition to 3x 4mm, polyester core stays for Mast to Bow and Mast to each Ama center.
About the Designer
Landis Arnold
50 years of paddling experience. Designer of the Prijon Kodiak and Nomadic's Balanced Wing Rudder. Work has included touring, whitewater and surf zone kayak designs as well as spray decks, dry storage much more. Imported Prijon kayaks for 30 years and built a an extensive range of accessories. Sold the Wildwasser brand in 2015. Nomadic projects like this very important one have been waiting for their new time and focus, an that time is now.
